Making the most of your valentine.

Valentine’s Day began as a celebration of one or more early Christian saints named Valentinus. The most popular martyr ,he was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire; during his imprisonment, he is said to have healed the daughter of his jailer Asterius, before his execution he wrote “from your Valentine” as a farewell to her.
Today is a day to celebrate Love. If you don’t have a Valentine like me, fret not. A lot of my friends call today “Single’s Awareness Day” instead of Valentine’s Day. Today is a day to celebrate Love. Love of yourself, love for life, for struggles, for everyone in your life, for who is IN your life as well as love for who is OUT of your life. If you’re single and without a valentine, today is a great day to celebrate your freedom and embrace even more courage to be more open, more loving and more curious about love. Let today be a celebration that you are on your path of discovery. Tonight – take yourself out on a date.
If you’re in a relationship, today is about PROVING your love to each other, There’s need to prove your love to that special someone with some grandiose display. Today is a day to express your love, but what is the intention behind it?
Today should set the TONE for how you treat each other EVERY DAY in your relationship. It’s wonderful to celebrate Valentine’s day, but you don’t have to have only one day where you REALLY celebrate each other.
No matter who or where you find yourself today, know that there is great love available to you in every moment. It could be in the person you’re next to right now, just waiting to be revealed though one single courageous act of expressing how you truly feel, or that love could be in putting yourself out there and seeing what works for you and what doesn’t.
Either way, let today be a day that you celebrate Love. Let today be a celebration of the love that you have for yourself and your ability to share that love with everyone who means something to you.
Single men,this is the time to prove beyond reasonable doubt that you are capable of taking extreme care of the ladies. Finding the right Valentine’s Day gift is probably the most difficult shopping experience in any man’s life. It isn’t like buying a birthday gift — choosing a gift for this special occasion won’t just show your affection toward her, but your degree of commitment as well. The nature of the Valentine’s Day gift can reflect how much you care, or don’t care, about her. The meaning of your gift also varies according to the seriousness and the type of relationship you’re in. Valentine dates and gift should be something to remember,it should be creative,adventurous,classy and fun.
For the married,spice up your valentine by dining in an exotic restaurant,somewhere both of you haven’t been to before,going through scrapbook of photos,be very creative and of course spice up your bedroom.
Ladies,don’t forget to dress for the occasion,go all out. Go for bold adventurous colors. It has to be really special .

 With a lot of people trying to lose weight in Nigeria,the question I want to ask is what is the best food to eat to lose weight.  We are blessed with a lot of starchy foods-rice,yam,cocoyam,irish potatoes,:let's face it ,we even eat it everyday,in parties,with friends,we even add it to soups. Its not like the soups are fat free. Infact some families I know of always eat soup with garri(prepared from cassava) at least once everyday. With this culture,we need to know what best to eat.
